creahm

Creahm (Creation and mentally handicap) sprang from the conviction that the disabled person has the possibility and the right to access to artistic creation if her talent is aroused, encouraged and recognized. In the visual arts workshops and the performing arts workshops, some facilitators, themselves artists, follow the artistic progresses of the participants, as well by listening to their personality and respecting it and their inventiveness as by learning the rigorous techniques. The aim of the Creahm workshops is the artistic project. Creahm demolishes stereotypes and reduces exclusions by participating fully in the local, regional and international cultural life. Projects mix disabled and non-disabled artists in international exchanges, exhibitions and tours in Belgium and abroad. Creahm has become a reference, from which have emerged other independent Creahm (in Brussels, in Switzerland and in Provence).
